Hi! My name is Valerie and I am the owner of Everything In Between, LLC. I knew I wanted to be an occupational therapist since I was 11 years old. My younger sister received OT services and I loved watching her play as a way to grow and develop. I did a career day at the UNE OT clinic in 5th grade, and I never veered off that path. I graduated with my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England in 2008 and have been practicing now for 18 years. I have worked in acute inpatient, acute rehab, skilled nursing, and primarily outpatient services in that time. My drive to open my own practice came from the desire to help people thrive within the community, within their homes, and to offer clinic based services to master the skills they need for day to day living.
At EIB I see people of all ages from babies to the elderly, including upper extremity injuries. I enjoy working within the community, and offering support for parents and caregivers.
Outside of the clinic you can find me enjoying time with my family outside, at the ice rink, or at the dance studio

I was introduced to OT as a college student when my family adopted a medically complex 3 month old baby. I experienced the joy of falling in love with a new little brother and a new career path all at once. Each time he came home from another surgery I would watch his brilliant OT work with him to restore what was lost and help him gain new skills. She in turn taught our family what to do to help him grow and thrive. Now an OT myself, I get to work with people to help them achieve their highest level of independence and turn their challenges into opportunities for growth. Just as my family learned to understand and support my brother, I am passionate about working with families to help them understand their loved one’s needs. Through the power of therapeutic activities, each person can grow their skills and achieve independence, wellness, and joy in their unique lives.

Two experiences shaped my journey toward Occupational Therapy. The first occurred in elementary school, when a peer receiving OT was able to invite a classmate to join his weekly sessions. I still vividly remember the day I was invited to join. Although I didn’t understand the therapeutic purpose at the time, I had so much fun as we worked together on a massive paper-mâché balloon hanging from the ceiling. Looking through a professional lens now, I can look back and understand the skills and the value behind the activity, hidden within play.
A second, more personal experience solidified my career path. When I was in middle school, my dad survived a life-threatening work accident that resulted in an above-the-knee amputation. His recovery involved months of intensive care at Massachusetts General Hospital and rehabilitation services post amputation at Braintree Rehab Hospital. Observing his journey allowed me to see firsthand how OT helped him navigate limb loss and regain his independence. I was incredibly moved by his progress and the dedication of his care teams to get him to where he is today. You wouldn’t even be able to tell he’s an amputee if it weren’t for the bionic leg! These experiences have fueled my desire to help others and support them in becoming the most independent versions of themselves, no matter what challenges are thrown their way.
Outside of work you’ll find me: at the beach, searching for sea glass, or taking a leisurely walk.

As an occupational therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. My goal is to empower clients to overcome challenges, reach meaningful goals, and participate fully in the activities that matter most to them.
I earned my education and clinical training from the University of New England after a lifelong passion for the state of Maine. I believe successful therapy begins with building trusting relationships and creating individualized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy staying active through running, yoga, skateboarding, and exploring nature with my dog. These experiences reinforce my appreciation for health, wellness, and maintaining an active lifestyle- values that I strive to incorporate into my therapeutic approach.
I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and helping every client achieve their highest level of function, independence, and wellbeing.

Hi, I'm Morgan! I joined Everything In Between, LLC in April 2026. Before
coming to the clinic, I spent four years working at Margaret Murphy Centers
for Children, a special purpose private school that supports students with a
wide range of abilities and needs in their educational participation and success.
My path to occupational therapy began with a desire to work with and support children, though I wasn't initially sure which career was the right fit. After spending a day shadowing an occupational therapist, I quickly fell in love with the profession. I enjoy the creativity, variety, and broad scope of occupational therapy, which allows me to help children and families build skills that support meaningful participation in everyday life. Through my work as an OT, I have also gained a deeper understanding of my own individual strengths and needs, which helps me connect with and support the children and families I serve.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach with my dog while my husband fishes, reading, and tackling more creative projects than I can finish. I also love crafting, caring for plants, and making memories with family and friends.

I first became interested in occupational therapy during my third year of college after observing a session in a small school system in northern Maine. It immediately felt like the “just right” fit, as it combined my love for the arts, sciences, and helping others.
After graduating, I spent nine years at Southern Maine Health Care working as an occupational therapist across acute inpatient, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedic and neurological settings. During that time, I earned my Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) credential, allowing me to complete work and industrial ergonomic assessments. In my last two years there, while primarily based at the Sports Performance Center, I also developed an outpatient concussion program focused on return-to-learn.
I then transitioned to Mass General Brigham in Dover, NH, where I continued specializing in outpatient orthopedic and neurological care while pursuing my doctorate, which I completed in 2025. In spring 2026, I began working at Everything In Between, LLC, and couldn’t be happier. It truly feels like home and allows me to focus on each patient individually in a way that aligns with how I practice.
Teaching has also become a meaningful part of my career. I’ve been an adjunct instructor at Baylor University for the past five years, teaching in both entry-level and post-professional doctoral programs. I’ll also be starting a part-time teaching role at the University of Southern Maine, and I really enjoy guiding students as they grow and develop in the field of occupational therapy. Alongside teaching, I have a passion for contributing to the profession through writing and research, including recently authoring a textbook and publishing work in the Open Journal of Occupational Therapy.
Outside of the clinic you’ll find me spending time with my husband and 8 year-old daughter, being near the water, gardening, and exploring the arts.
